Music My Life’s Passion

Whom can honestly say they worked at a job they really loved and got bought it for? I sang for money for a good many years and did just that. Music was my forte. My voice was a surprise from God. My spouse and i was never formally taught to sing, all my training was right on level. During my school years I played drums and sang for dances with small groups and rings. At Pasadena City College or university I performed many major music shows. Among the twelve-monthly shows was called “Crafty Hall”. In that show I sang a popular song of the day called ‘I’m Yours”. One afternoon My spouse and i traveled to the local r / c station in Pasadena in hopes of getting a casting with Cliffy Natural stone. While practicing in an empty studio a man by the name of Billy Strange heard myself sing and introduced myself to Cliffy. That advantages landed me a job on a the neighborhood country and western radio show, published by Cliffy Stone who also a new local tv set show called “Hometown Jamboree”. After some weeks on radio I had fashioned my chance to perform on the television set show. The first song I did on tv set was called “Buttons and Bows”. Another tune that was received effectively was “Unchained Melody”. There after experience I had the craving traveling. I went on the road with a trio, mostly as a singer and front man. Traveling was a whole lot of fun, since I had been able to see many places I had never been. After the terno I joined up with the Four Jokers, a musical comedy group who owned a nightclub in Encino, CA. We proved helpful at home at the Four Jokers Club and also did some vacationing. Hawaii was a place that the Four Jokers worked before I joined up with the group. We all headed for Hawaii, this was my first time. We spent many weeks there and I chop down in love with this island then.

After the Jokers, one of the better jazz accordionist in the music business, Ray Lewis, and We formed a musical funny duo known as “Lewis and Marone”. We visited to many places including Tokyo, Japan. We enjoyed in a club there called the “Copa Cabana”. We also sang for the troops in Asia during the Viet Nam War. While at home in southern California we worked various nightclubs. We all built a sizable following in San Gabriel Valley at a club called “Jack London Square”. Ray and I were together about ten years. During this time period I actually cut a few information with several record companies. Although I never achieved a hit record I actually felt extremely successful in the music business doing the things i truly enjoyed.
